Pioneer Division

Pioneer Division caters to campers entering 5th through 7th grade.

Staff

Staff is chosen for their experience with young children. Group size is 12 maximum. Ratio of counselor to camper is 1:5.

Program

Perfect for the camper who would like to supplement their sleepover camp experience or experience a taste of sleepover camp in a day camp setting. Campers enjoy four day trips, one with an overnight. In addition, they have special day workshops, and athletic activities as well as theater arts activities.The pioneer group at Gan Izzy forms their own special family.

Swimming

Camp Gan's developmental swim program follows the American Red Cross "Learn to Swim" instructional program.

Athletics

We are proud partners with IST Sports Training who lead our weekly sport clinics with professional coaches of each particular sport. We also have private coaches for athletic elective activities.

Creative Arts & Nature

The Creative Arts and Nature program allows campers to explore the world around them and to express their creativity in different art forms.

Jewish Music & Art

One activity a day is devoted to Jewish Values such as friendship, respect, taking responsibility, being grateful, tzedaka, caring for the environment and each other, the elderly, and more.

Camp Gan Israel's traditions mean a great deal to all of us. Their importance is evident the excitement and anticipation that our campers experience.

Trips

Campers age 5 to 10 have weekly trips that are age appropriate on Wednesdays.
