Welcome to the new season of Camp Gan Israel in Westport, Connecticut. Whether this is your first summer with us or you have been here before, we are delighted that you are joining us and we are certain that your children will have a wonderful camp experience. The counselors and staff at Camp Gan Israel are eager to greet your children and there are many new and exciting programs planned for this year.
CGI is committed to providing a superb day camp experience for Jewish children in the greater Westport area. We offer outstanding athletic, sports, and creative arts pro-grams under the guidance of professional instructors who are all highly qualified in their fields. Family-oriented pro-grams are also an important aspect of our camp and we encourage parental participation in these special moments for your children.
Camp Gan Israel is fully licensed by the State of Connecticut. This accreditation assures you that our focus is on health and safety issues.

Gan Israel is much more than a physical break from the school routine and winter activities. It’s a comprehensive program designed to strengthen the body and soul. It provides your child with a rich and wholesome summer vacation of fun and excitement along with friendship and meaningful educational experiences.
Staff
Child development is the most significant ingredient in a healthy camp experience. This is why our staff is the real secret to our success. Our experienced counselors are known for their personal warmth and ability to care for each child as an individual. Many staff members return year after year, lending experience and continuity to all programs. Each counselor is a role model for our children, promising them friendship which will last forever! Their love for the children is surpassed only by the children’s love for them.
Culture
Gan Israel campers are imbued with a deep sense of pride in their Jewish heritage and a love for the land of Israel. Weekly Judaic themes are taught through exciting activities, stories, songs, games and contests, which are part of the unique Gan Israel experience. Combined with group discussions and educational programs, these events bring to life the beauty and values of our tradition.
Camp Gan Israel was created to provide children with a fun and meaningful summer program, while fostering growth individually and socially in a Jewish atmosphere. The daily schedule includes an exciting mix of sports, field trips, special programs and activities designed to be educational, fun and conducive to building character and nurturing friendships.
