Gan Izzy Older Division Ages 5-10
Our campers thrive in a camp setting that provides cutting edge programming in athletics and theater arts . Instructed by professional leaders, campers participate in art, sports, swimming, tennis, vid- eography, horsebackriding, cooking, hip hop, fencing, music, archery , nature and more. Every day at Gan Izzy offers new experiences, opportunities for cultivating friendship, and boosting self esteem. Field trips, theme days and family events contribute to this experience of a lifetime.
Gan Izzy Classics With A Twist!
Swimming - As always, Gan Izzy campers ages 5+ go swimming four days a week & enjoy group lessons where they advance their swimming skills. This year, Gan Izzy is proud to present its first Swim Team, where students will work towards a goal of stronger swimming & partake in a swim meet.

Sports - Gan Izzy campers play sports four days per week.
Gan Izzy Westport League will be coached by professionals from Integrated Sports Training, Dutch Total Soccer Clinics, SONO Field House and will include baseball, lacrosse, soccer, basketball and tennis. Our expert coaches will instruct and lead games to foster team sportsmanship and confidence. The Gan Izzy League will play other Gan Izzy camps in Connecticut during the camp season. Camp will host a ‘Gan Izzy Olympics’ when star athletes will coach the campers as we host our very own ‘SportsOlympics.’
Specialty Weeks:
Week 1: Intro Week - Campers will be introduced to the great variety of elective workshops. Electives include: tennis, archery, art, theatre, nature, science, baseball, hip hop, drumming, cartooning and horsebackriding. In addition, campers will enjoy special onsite highlights like go-carting, glow-in-the-dark mini gulf and bunk competitions.
Week 2:CIRCUS OF THE KIDS all week!!! - Circus of the Kids is the only program of its kind in the United States. It teaches circus arts to children of all ages. While having fun with circus routines, we also inject healthy doses of self-reliance and self-esteem building into our campers.
Week 3:Outdoor Explorers Campers will learn outdoor survival skills, camping, geocaching, hiking and more. A highlight of this week will be a late night bonfire and dinner at the beach.
Week 4: Gan Izzy Workbench Jewish Style! A blend of authentic woodworking & glass & clay design. Campers will design their own glass mezuzah cover, make a ceramic Seder plate & wooden challah boards. As a highlight of this week, Gan Izzy campers will take part in a cooperative team building project for charity. With the guidance of professional woodworkers and designers, campers will design & build an outdoor playhouse to be donated to a children’s organization. At Gan Izzy, campers learn to love tzedakah, empowered by opportunities to give and share.
Week 5:Sailing! Sailing back by popular demand! Campers age 7+ will learn the skills for sailing & kayaking at Longshore.
Week 6- On the Go! Special trips every day to keep the action going. It’s a week of fun and exciting destinations to finish the Gan Izzy season on a high note!
